Talent is widespread and scattered

It has begun, high calibre “EREados” executives have posted their CVs online instead of with a Head Hunter, and have decided on a “solitary journey”.

They are exhausted and disillusioned with their last business venture in a large multinational company and they want to help companies “grow” with their knowledge and, in some cases, with a “cash” injection from their previous venture.

They are people with extensive sector knowledge, occasionally capable of leadership but a little lost in the chaotic start-up world. They have begun to call me and, even though I don’t have much time available, I try to meet with them. You never know where you will find the rough diamond for one of our start-up companies.

Success in a large company is not guaranteed by pushing your shirt sleeves up beside an entrepreneur. The environment is different and the creative tension –very motivational on one side- can generate conflicts which aren’t the norm in a large multinational company.

I am looking for a specific profile, experts in sales management, they are few and hard to find and start-ups generally suffer a serious lack in this talent.
