According to an article I’ve just read, Spain ranks 54th among the countries which have answered this question: Have you thought of creating a company? It is a curious question, since, I think, the answers can be very different when everything goes well and “you think you have a wage for life”, and now, that after so many ERE’s, a lot of people with “gumption” are being dismissed.As for the Internet, I see everyday better projects and, in the last three months, this trend is getting faster. There are a lot of businessmen who think they can change its management experience by their own company. It isn’t easy to be a entrepreneur in Spain, but the way is getting easier everyday and more, better people are willing to try.
The problem with traditional funding, which requires personal guarantees even to consider a loan, is being solved through the national companies of mutual guarantees. As I am reading these days, it can result in a final solution for ICOs problem. It’s like “here it is the money but, if you want me to lend it, give me references of your house, your father or whoever”. Now it seems that these type of guarantees will be granted by “Aval Madrid” and its regional counterpart so that, region by region, there are SMEs with an ICO loan. Of course this procedure it is not the fastest…
For the time being, I still seeing in the Internet an important solution to the creating of new and competitive companies, and if we help them, we may reduce some of the unemployment which already grips us. It is clear that this won’t be a solution for the thousand of unemployed from the construction or real state sectors, but it is the key to the creation of jobs for graduates who are looking for their first job.
