It’s not bad. Another effect of integrating my email with Google Apps is that it’s gathered together all of the thousands of mails from the past 3 years – those that I still had in my Outlook – and it has integrated them into 1900 conversations. Google groups emails from the beginning through all the replies, in a thread of mails on the same subject.
In the majority of cases this allows you to monitor the conversations that you’ve had on the web with hundreds of partners, employees, investors, friends, colleagues… you could get a book out of them all… If I had time perhaps I would do it, as I’m sure a lot could be learned from them.
There are some two daily conversations – including holidays – over three years and, in some cases, the conversation goes on for periods of several months, and they link with other, new strands of the conversation which Google didn’t even manage to capture as belonging to the same conversation.
