I was reading one of those economic newspapers a while ago over breakfast near my office; I don’t remember which one because I have read them all cursorily. Yes, I know that I am from an old school and I love to read the paper while I eat breakfast despite the fact that I have fresher news online. I read that in these times, once again, there is an excess of liquidity and, owing to the fact that there are no good opportunities, it is feared that money will end up in a bad place again and create new bubbles.
It is possible that there are no good traditional businesses for investing enormous quantities of liquidity, but what about the new ones? Is there anyone who really understands that the future is in the twenty-first century -if they rush me, in the twenty-second- and not in the twentieth? There are thousands of companies of the future that need financing. It’s clear that it is risky to invest in them, but is it logical to take risks to improve the future of Humanity? Should we continue investing in the companies of the past?
Honestly, investors focus too much on what they know without realizing that they know a world that is disappearing before their eyes and that it requires a vision of the future that few are considering?
It is always risky to invest, no matter what. Not even the brick is safe anymore. So, why don’t we invest in our future?
