Yesterday in my presentation at the Business Global Conference in Bilbao, I used a presentation -as I already explained- from Dave Gray, founder of XPLANE. Dave’s most important thought, for me, is the fact that innovation, more than being planned, occurs in environments that promote it.
On the other hand, the constant relationship with the Internet client should enable us to create environments in which the generation of innovation is an effect of the environment, in the way we work and in sharing goals. Innovation should be an element that promotes new models and has the capacity to generate new products and services that will improve the client’s perception of us.
Innovation decided upon by management simply does not function. It has to come at the hand of solving problems and satisfying the clients’ real needs. Pure innovation takes more time and is not always possible in environments where resources are very limited, like in a start-up, but it also occurs and, like a delicate flower, you must know how to take care of it and hope that it blooms at all.
