I don’t like extremes. I believe that the center was invented for me. I like a lot of things from the left, I have many ideas that agree in theory more with the right, but in general, I am very liberal. Therefore, I do not understand extremes. I don’t understand when someone thinks they possess the truth, that the only thing that matters is what they think, when they aren’t ready to discuss their convictions without raising a hand -whether verbal or real.
You must fight fire with fire. Alright, at least from the Ghandi era, we know this is not case. You reach a better world when you are willing to listen to others.
In business, with entrepreneurs, the same thing happens. Many great entrepreneurs are terrible extremists in their positions and not given to listen. Long term, this works against them, maybe they move a great project forward but whenever the time comes to reflect and see what is needed for the next step, the extremists always prescribe more of the same.
You must be very focused and not change your mind daily but, as always, extremes are bad. You cannot always keep the same position no matter comes your way.
I would like you to give some examples that have caught your attention online of people extreme in their position. Who surprised you most with their extreme positions in the last 12 months?
