As we approach the 2,000 million Internet user mark, which will be achieved very shortly, you must consider that probably 1%, that is 20 million, of its users are among the most intelligent on the planet. Probably from among those, 5% want to change the world with new ideas, that is, there are a million brilliant people online wanting to reinvent the wheel. Every time that I think about it, I see a near future in which nothing will be how we see it today. Thousands of new companies adapted to a new century, little by little - change is always slower than you expect - will go changing the rules of the game. The same as the digitalized industries that have suffered a brutal paradigm change, setting after setting, as physical as they are today, they will migrate to new solutions, new products and new company formats that will have nothing to do with what we understand today as a traditional sector. Any of them will be affected by one of these brilliant people who wil reinvent the business right underneath their feet.
It is not easy to locate the million among the 2,000 million who will make a difference, but this is what we try to do daily. That’s why I enjoy it so much it makes the hours escape through my hands without even noticing.
