France Closes Out 2009 with 25 Billion Euros in Online Sales

According to Journal du Net, France’s online sales have closed with a turnover of 25 billion Euros this past year.  In Spain they expect to near 10 billion with a 56% increase from the last year, but we still don’t have the exact data from the close of the year.
In any case, we are still sure that online e-commerce is one of the environments with the highest growth for the Spanish economy in the next 5 years.  Unfortunately, the employment that this sector generates is not comparable to the number of employees in traditional distribution sectors, although areas like logistics, which will evolve to meet the growing demand in this sector, will indeed generate additional positions.
