One of the key golden rules to always bear mind for developing projects on the internet is listening, knowing and evolving with your users. They are always the main asset in any online project and they are the ones who can offer criticism and guide in the right direction to progress.
A great deal has happened since 1996, when I created my first page. After this evolved based on the technology of each moment, in 2003 I built a web-based personal contacts system under our own brand.
Time has convinced us and demonstrated to us that the user was King in 2003 and has now evolved to become the complete Master and ruler of contents. The user should always have what they want and if the business model used up until now is affected, we simply need to adapt and advance.
We are again focusing strongly on the main motto of any business, solving the user’s need. Several years have passed since then and we are embarking on a complete technological renovation to adapt to new times.
Nowadays it is the era of social networks where users are encouraged and offered the opportunity to mix by actively participating in the community of users. After the Youtube revolution, nothing can ever be the same on the net. Our modus operandi is clear: renew and progress at all times.
Our specific evolution resulted from the coalition between Marqueze Telecom SA, Dezain Solutions and Grupo ITnet, which consolidates Yunu as a solid and reinforced project in each of its areas: technology, experience, usability and innovation.
Vision and strategy
Yunu.com is the first online dating 2.0 portal in Spain, featuring in the national Top 3 of dating portals. With 2.6 million users and an average of 1000 registrations each day, Yunu is the third contacts network in Spain, after international leaders Match and Meetic, and the first funded entirely by Spanish capital.
Yunu is a solid project resulting from the alliance of three technology companies with huge potential and experience:
1. Marqueze Telecom, a company with experience in servicing users since 2003 and responsible for having created the third largest Spanish contacts system of contacts, and the first with Spanish capital.
2. Dezain Solutions, a technology company specialized in Web 2.0 developments, which acts as a technological partner.
3. Grupo Itnet, a business group with extensive experience in Web 2.0 / Social Network formats. Its added value is the integration of the most innovative Web 2.0 features, such as live chat, social networking or photologs, making the most advanced services of the moment available to its users.
Yunu, currently in Spanish, is in the process of preparing for its versions in English, Portuguese and Italian. It is, without a doubt, a project with global autonomy that is equipped with tools that facilitate virality or so-called “word of mouth marketing”.
Yunu’s Premium services are currently in operation. From now on, free services are also offered to preserve user loyalty, with Premium or payable services which add to the revenues generated through the publicity route which has been in place since the start.
