The profiles of current DaD’s investors
Since our foundation as a business incubator in 2006, DaD has consistently attracted several waves of investors who have entered during consequent capital increases of the company. Now, that we are approaching the total of 80 investors, the profile of those who wanted to invest with us and in us is getting clear.
The first third of the investors are successful businessmen in traditional sectors who are concerned to know how Internet is changing its business environment. They have profitable companies and the willingness to invest a certain amount every year in new ventures. Disappointed with traditional investments, they keep searching for new opportunities, and rely on DaD to enter in twenty-first century companies and invest in them, which would not have had access if they were not DaD shareholders. Many of these investors have invested more in participated companies than in DaD.
The second third of investors includes Internet entrepreneurs with profitable companies online that want to keep up-to-date of what is happening outside of Spain and to have the geographic distribution of DaD (Asia, U.S.A., Latin America and Russia) for their own businesses connections. Moreover, as experts who are in many specific areas of Internet business models, they participate in DaD’s investment committees when it comes to investing in a participated company in the field of their personal knowledge.
Finally, and increasingly, DaD’s investors are senior executives of large companies with high salaries, who want to start having a small portfolio of shares, getting prepared for when they will have more time to dedicate to their investments, and the DaD platform provides them with a wide range of opportunities for investing in selected companies.
